Collective KIDS/Academy
For dancers just being introduced to competitive dance, we offer a low commitment option that includes a small amount of required classes, only 1-2 competitions, and the option to do a half or full season. This gives young dancers the opportunity to explore the world of The Collective without feeling pressured or overloaded.

COLLECTIVE COMPANY
YPAC's Collective Company is our mid-commitment competitive group. Dancers in this commitment level take the same required classes and competitions as the highest Collective level, minus the private lessons and solo dances.
REQUIRED CLASSES
Dancers need to be in multiple classes to ensure they are well trained and prepared for competitions. To be on the competitive dance team, it is expected of students to continue their training throughout the summer.

REQUIRED PERFORMANCES
THRILLER
It is a YPAC tradition for The Collective to perform Michael Jackson's Thriller dance at Yorkville's Biz Boo in October. In addition to the performance, dancers must attend a Saturday rehearsal to prepare for the performance.
DANCING SANTAS/WHO'S WHO
The Collective performs as the Dancing Santas or Who's Who (depending on age) at various events such as: Winter Wonderland, Yorkville's Suicide Prevention Walk, Yorkville's Tree Lighting Ceremony. In addition to the performances, dancers have a few Saturday rehearsals to prepare the dance.
A formal fundraising event that focuses on Giving Every Child Access To The Arts. This event is run by GECATTA a nonprofit organization. Students will perform along with YPAC's Gig Out & Grow music students. Only select numbers will perform at the gala.
YEP is our year end recital where all our dance and tumbling classes perform.

ADDITIONAL TRAINING
ATTA INTENSIVE WEEKEND (JULY 11-12, 2026)
ATTA Kids is available for students ages 4-7
During this weekend dancers will receive expert training and master classes from several guest teachers.
THE BALLET EXPERIENCE (AUGUST TBA)
During this experience, students will receive training from world-renowned ballet dancers.
This experience also includes Nutcracker auditions.
Additional training is available to anyone! You DO NOT need to be in The Collective to participate in these events
